Tracy Maureen Perez goes home to Cebu to join La Torta Festival celebration
The queen is coming home!
Tracy Maureen Perez announced on Wednesday that she's returning to her hometown Cebu to join the celebration of La Torta Festival in Argao.
"Argao, I'm finally coming home!!" the Miss World Philippines 2021 wrote on Instagram.
"I [wasn’t] able to have an official homecoming last year, but I am so happy to be able to celebrate our fiesta with all of you," she added.
Tracy then invited her fellow Argawanons to join her in the celebration on Wednesday night.
"I am your Miss World Philippines 2021 — a proud Michaelian and an Argawanon," she ended.
La Torta Festival happens every September 28 or 29. From the festival name itself, it highlights Argao's delicacy "Torta," a popular sponge cake made of egg yolks, sugar, flour, raisins, cheese, pork lard and tuba.
Tracy was crowned Miss World Philippines in 2021. She competed in Miss World 2021 held in Puerto Rico where she finished in the Top 13. —Hermes Tunac/JCB, GMA News
