Pinoy dance crew Electro Groovers wins competition in Australia

Electro Groovers brought pride to the country after being named champions at the Varsity Division of the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Championship 2022 in Sydney, Australia.

According to Oscar Oida’s “24 Oras” report Wednesday, the group is composed of members aged 18 and below. All of them are passionate about what they do.

“Dance is way ko i-express yung sarili ko and yung mga naffeel ko,” said member Arian Dela Cruz.

“Ang gusto ko sa pagsasayaw ay naeenjoy ko siya lagi at ‘yon po talaga yung gusto kong gawin saka ‘pag nagsasayaw ako, sumasaya po ako,” added Andrei Kobe Balaoro.

Before becoming champions, the group started in a dance school created by their coaches in 2013. It became a starting point until they joined their first international contest in 2017.

Carrying the Philippine flag, Electro Groovers is set to compete in another dance contest in California next year.—Franchesca Viernes/LDF, GMA News
