This fruit store in Cavite has no bantay, relies solely on customers' honesty

There's a fruit store in Noveleta, Cavite that has no bantay but is entirely open for customers.

According to Oscar Oida's "24 Oras," report Thursday, it is owned by a security guard named Rodney Pampag who lacks time for his store due to his work.

Pampag said he relies solely on trust towards his customers and their honesty. They should make sure that what they are getting and paying is equal, he said.

A container is already provided for payments. Customers are also responsible for getting their change. Meanwhile, Pampag said they are also allowed to lower the cost of products.

"'Pag alam niya po sa sarili niya na medyo hindi na okay ['yung produkto], pwede niyang babaan mismo ['yung presyo] sa sarili niya," he said.

Thankfully, no stealing has occurred since he opened the store. If ever that happens, Pampag will still choose to see the reason behind it.

"[Iisipin] ko na lang ay prutas lang naman 'yan eh. Kung nagawa niya man 'yon, siguro nagugutom siya. Sa nabasa ko, 'pag nagugutom, pakainin na lang."

Apart from healthy fruits, Pampag's store also provides good vibes especially to workers of the hospital beside it. They thank him for being an inspiration.

"Dahil siya'y nagtitiwala, magandang pangitain 'yon. Kung maraming taong may ganyang katangian, mas makakatulong sa ating lipunan," said medical director Dr. Arnulfi Zenarosa.
