Lantern Festival 2023 lights up Mountain Province

The Christmas spirit is alive and well in the Philippines!

Bontoc, Mountain Province was illuminated with pretty lights and gleeful celebrations during the 2023 Lantern Festival.

According to a report on "Unang Balita" on Thursday, students joined the Lantern Parade and showed off their creatively decorated lanterns.

They also held street dancing and cheerdance performances.

Meanwhile, in Bago, Negros Occidental, there's a Christmas village that has caught residents' eyes.

Called "Pasko sa Nayon," the village has an undeniably Pinoy theme. It features several bahay kubo made of indigenous materials and decorated with lights, the report added. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
