GMA Kapuso Foundation inaugurates new classrooms in Burdeos, Quezon

New Kapuso classrooms are ready to accommodate students at Tulan Elementary School in Burdeos, Quezon.

According to “24 Oras,” Friday, GMA Kapuso Foundation started building the classrooms in October.

Among those who helped in the construction were husband and wife Elmer and Serina Rubio.

Elmer and his carabao helped carry the construction materials, including sand and wood.

“Ito pong kalabaw ko ay libre kong pinagamit sa eskwelahan, sa school, at para po tulong na rin. Karangalan po namin iyon at kami’y may anak pong pinag-aaral diyan,” Elmer said.

“Wala naman po kaming ipapamana sa mga anak namin. ‘Yun pong pinakang pamana namin, ‘yung pag-aaral nila,” Sarina said.

Two months later, GMA Kapuso Foundation has finally inaugurated the two new Kapuso classrooms with handwashing facilities and given away gifts to students.

“Talagang resilient ‘to. Kaya niya up to magnitude 8 na lindol and then up to 280 kph na wind speed,” Engr. Arnel Zantua said.

Couple Elmer and Serina also received some grocery items and shoes to show thanks for their help.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
