Manila Luzon of 'Drag Den Philippines' wins Best Entertainment Presenter at Asian TV Awards

Manila Luzon just bagged another award as the main host, or the Drag Lord, of the Filipino drag reality series "Drag Den Philippines."

On X (formerly Twitter), "Drag Den Philippines" creator Rod Singh shared the good news on Saturday night that the Filipino-American drag queen just won Best Entertainment Presenter or Host at the recently concluded 28th Asian TV Awards.

"I'm really happy and proud of our Drag Lord, Manila Luzon," Rod wrote.

"Another pasabog from the drag lord before we premiere this Wednesday!" she added.

On Instagram, Manila shared her acceptance speech during the awards night recently held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

"The first time I saw a lot of drag shows in the Philippines, I was blown away, and I made it my goal as an internationally known TV personality to shine a spotlight on Filipino drag artistry," Manila said.

"I dedicated this award to all the Filipino drag queens around the world," she added.

Just recently, Manila was featured in Vogue magazine, where she gave a tour of her favorite places in the Philippine capital.

In December, Manila was also named Best Entertainment Host for "Drag Den Philippines" at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.

"Drag Den Philippines" is gearing up for a second season. A grand event to celebrate the premiere— with a media conference, performances, an exhibit, a "Dragdagulan" drag showdown, and a red carpet—will be held on January 17, Wednesday, at the TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City. It is a free event.

The second season of "Drag Den Philippines" will stream exclusively on Prime Video Philippines beginning on January 18.
