Jeepney barker with cerebral palsy receives assistance from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Despite his condition, a jeepney barker with cerebral palsy continues to work hard to earn money.

According to “24 Oras,” Wednesday, Janjan Galao has been doing the job for five years already, where he makes P300 a day.

Janjan is also trying to save money to buy a laptop for his sibling.

“Saludo nga ako diyan kahit may ganyang kapansanan ‘yan. Masipag talaga ‘yan. Kahit umulan, bumagyo, nandito pa rin ‘yan,” Joey Francisco said.

Janjan volunteered to start working even though his mother already works at a sari-sari store.

“Nagpupursigi siya para lang makaipon ng pera para sa mga kapatid niya. Proud na proud ako, marunong siya kahit ganyan siya,” Janjan’s mother, Flordeliza, said, adding that he is always doing their household chores.

To make sure that Janjan is healthy, GMA Kapuso Foundation assisted him with a check-up.

“‘Yung mga taong may ganitong kondisyon, prone sila sa mga infection kasi iba ‘yung structure ng heart nila, ng lungs nila,” Dr. Rainier Nery Mozo said.

After undergoing a physical exam, blood test, urinalysis, ECG, and x-ray, Janjan and his family also received groceries.

“Sa kaniya, special condition, so siyempre at the end of the day, gusto natin masaya sila, nagagawa nila ‘yung gusto nila, but of course, babantayan natin sila, papacheck-up nang regular,” Dr. Mozo said.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
