Pura Luka Vega on Toni Fowler's arrest order: 'Why are we going after people expressing themselves through art?'

Pura Luka Vega, a "Drag Den Philippines" alum, took to social media to air their two cents on Toni Fowler's recent arrest order.

On X (formerly Twitter), the drag artist asked, "What is your definition of 'morality?'"

"Why are we going after people who are expressing themselves through their art?" they wrote.

"I've said this before, and I will say it again: if you don't like what you are seeing/hearing, then simply move on and find the ones you like," they added.

Last Friday, the Pasay court ordered the arrest of Fowler due to complaint filed by the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas in September 2023 over her "obscene" music videos. She posted bail worth P120,000 on the same day.

In October last year, Luka was arrested after complaints were filed against them due to their viral "Ama Namin" performance. After three days behind bars, they were released on bail.

In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online, Luka said that their "Ama Namin" performance was not meant to disrespect people of faith.
