After Natasha Jung's withdrawal, Kananga announces new candidate for Miss Universe Philippines 2024

The Municipality of Kananga is back in Miss Universe Philippines 2024!

On Wednesday, Miss Universe Philippines Kananga announced that Phoebe Arrianna Veloso Torita will be the new candidate to represent them in the upcoming pageant.

"Amidst the beauty and glamour, sending a representative to Miss Universe Philippines is no easy feat. It requires immense efforts, hard work, and sacrifices from both the representative and the Organization," its statement read.

"Over the past few days, we have reflected on our core values and beliefs of who we are as an organization and what we stand for. Despite the time constraints, we have chosen to reaffirm our commitments, returning to our primary purpose: to send a representative to Miss Universe Philippines 2024 to showcase and promote Kananga and to fulfill someone's dream."

Earlier this month, Natasha Jung announced her withdrawal from joining the national pageant, stepping down as Kananga's official candidate for Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

Prior to her withdrawal, Natasha joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 candidates in their press presentation, but the following days, fans noticed that she was no longer included when the organization uploaded the candidates' official headshots.

Sparkle star Michelle Dee is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines. She finished in the top 10 of the international pageant last year.
