'Superman' announces nationwide midnight screening on July 9

If you want to be one of the first to see the latest "Superman" film, here is your chance!

On the midnight of its opening day on July 9, "Superman" will hold midnight screenings in select cinemas across the Philippines.

In June, "Superman" stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, along with director James Gunn, visited the Philippines for the first stop of their promotion tour.

During their visit, they met "Lumpia Queen" Abi Marquez and tried making their own Halo-Halo, the famous Filipino shaved ice dessert.

The new "Superman" film establishes the iconic hero in the new DC Studios cinematic universe headed by James and Peter Safran.

The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell. —Hermes Joy Tunac/MGP, GMA Integrated News
