Pia Arcangel renews ties with GMA Network

Pia Arcangel remains a loyal Kapuso. 

The veteran broadcast journalist renewed her contract on Friday at the Boardroom in GMA Network Center. 

Present were GMA Network executives President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, and GMA Integrated News Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Special Divisions Michelle Seva. 

GMA Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon and fellow Kapuso broadcast journalists sent congratulatory messages through a video. 

Arcangel expressed her thanks in her speech after the signing.

“Thank you so much for the trust and the confidence that GMA has bestowed on somebody like me who, you know, fresh out of college, took a chance,” she said. 

Arcangel added, “For me, it's actually not just a workplace, it's family, it's a home.”

Arcangel has been with GMA Network for 23 years. She previously anchored “Unang Hirit” and “Balitanghali,” and hosted the children’s show “Art Angel.”

Arcangel is currently an anchor on “24 Oras Weekend” and “Saksi.” She also hosts the interview show and podcast “Power Talks.” — LA, GMA Integrated News
