GMA Network shortlisted in 4 categories at 2025 Association for International Broadcasting Awards
GMA Network is shortlisted in four categories at the 2025 Association for International Broadcast Awards (AIBs).
As seen on the Association for International Broadcasting's website, GMA Integrated News' flagship newscast "24 Oras" is a finalist under the Continuing News category for its "Mole People" report, which documented a group of homeless individuals living in underground drainage tunnels in Makati, Metro Manila.
"24 Oras" news anchor Vicky Morales was also shortlisted for the Presenter of the Year award.
Meanwhile, GMA Public Affairs' "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Kidneys for Sale" was named a finalist under the Investigative category for its coverage of the alarming “kidneys for sale” scheme, exposing the rampant online trade of human organs.
Other Stories
"The Atom Araullo Specials: Pogoland" was also shortlisted under the Domestic Affairs Documentary category. The special report investigated the complex world of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and how these have become vehicles for human trafficking.
The winners of the 2025 AIBs will be announced on November 14 in London, United Kingdom.
Established in 2004, the AIBs recognizes the highest standards in journalism and factual productions across video, audio, and digital platforms.
