GMA Kapuso Foundation to build two classrooms in Bohol elementary school hit by Odette
The GMA Kapuso Foundation is extending its help to a school in Bohol.
As seen in Mel Tiangco’s report in “24 Oras” on Monday, two Kapuso classrooms will be built in Bulilis Elementary School, which was devastated by Typhoon Odette in 2021.
“Nagbabakal pa lang sila sa doon sa flooring na bubuhusan so mga around 20 percent pa lang ‘yung progress natin doon," said GMA Kapuso Foundation Supervising Engineer Arnel Zantua.
Meanwhile, master teacher Hermocila Galagar said that the classrooms are a dream come true for the students.
“Walang absent. Everyday andito sila kasi gusto nilang makita ‘yung progress. Andito na talaga siya. Hindi na siya pangarap lang,” she shared.
Benedicto Butlig, a farmer whose children attend the school, has also volunteered to help in the construction of the classrooms
"Obligasyon naming na magbuhay sa aming mga anak kaya ginawa naming lahat para mataguyod naming ang anak na makatapos sila sa pag-aaral nila," he said.
In the same report, Mel also said that GMA Kapuso Foundation is planning for a possible airlift of relief goods for the victims of the Super Typhoon Nando that continues to batter Northern Luzon.
For those who are interested in helping, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
