Kara David receives iconic 'Death Note' from colleague

Kara David just received a hilarious gift from a colleague!

On Facebook, the award-winning broadcast journalist shared a photo of herself holding the iconic black notebook from "Death Note."

It's a gift from her colleague Ronin Bautista, a former GMA News Online reporter who is now a faculty member at the College of Media and Communication, University of the Philippines Diliman.

"Sinurpresa ako ng aking co-faculty sa gitna ng klase. Hahahaha. Thanks Ronin for this cool gift," she wrote.

In the comments section, netizens can't help but poke fun at the cool item she received, saying that this might finally seal the deal for her birthday wish.

"Finally Ms. Kara David matutupad na ang wish mo. Isulat mo na agad please," a netizen wrote.

"Wish granted po ata. Nasa inyong mga kamay ang kanilang kapalaran," another user said.

The "Death Note" notebook, from the popular manga and anime series of the same name, is a supernatural item that allows its owner to kill anyone simply by writing their name on it.

Kara previously went viral for her hilarious wish on her 52nd birthday, which netizens jokingly said resonated with them.

"Sana mamatay lahat ng kurakot sa Pilipinas," Kara said.

Kara currently hosts the award-winning documentary show "I-Witness" and the infotainment show "Pinas Sarap."

Her podcast, "I-Listen," has also just been launched.
