Residents affected by Uwan in Northern Samar, Camarines Sur, Cagayan receive aid from Kapuso Foundation
About 20,000 individuals who were affected by Typhoon Uwan received aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation through its Operation Bayanihan Project.
According to "24 Oras" on Monday, the foundation brought relief goods to three coastal barangays in Catarman, Northern Samar.
"May mga structures din tayo na partially damaged lalong-lalo na dito sa mga coastal areas at tsaka nagkaroon din ng power interruption hanggang sa ngayon," said 803rd Infantry Brigade Commander BGen Carmelito Pangatungan.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation also distributed relief goods in Goa, Camarines Sur, and four towns in Cagayan, including Aparri, which had been affected by the overflow of Cagayan River due to Uwan.
The foundation is now on its way to Dingalan, Aurora, where it will also distribute relief to affected residents. It will head to Dinalungan where Uwan made landfall once roads are passable.
Moreover, relief goods are now ready for Tuesday's relief distribution in Albay and Camarines Norte. Per the report, the foundation will also bring aid to the island of Catanduanes once weather conditions improve.

According to PAGASA's 5 p.m. cyclone bulletin, Signal No. 2 is hoisted in 13 areas in Luzon as Typhoon Uwan moves away from the Ilocos Region.
Uwan is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday evening or early Tuesday morning. How,ever it could re-enter on Wednesday as it makes landfall over the southwestern coast of Taiwan, resulting in its further weakening.
On Monday, the Office of Civil Defense said that two people were reported killed in Viga, Catanduanes nd Catbalogan, Samar due to the impact of Uwan.
A total of 1.4 million people or 426,000 families have been preemptively evacuated in Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Negros Island Region, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas.
