Charlie Fleming on joining pageantry: 'I would like to be prepared if ever the time comes'

Charlie Fleming said that entering the pageantry world will take a lot of preparation for her.

In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the Sparkle star said that she's been getting a lot of mentions on social media encouraging her to join Miss Universe Philippines.

"I've gotten tweets recently na babawiin daw natin ang para sa Pilipinas. Sabi ko wait lang, the pressure," Charlie said.

While pageantry is her first love, the PBB Collab 1.0 alum shared that she is still unsure if she can commit enough time to practice.

"Some people do definitely know that pageantry was my first love. But the path that I'm taking with acting, content creation and everything else, I'm not sure pa if I could give time for practicing and everything for pageantry. Of course I would like to be prepared if ever the time comes," she said.

In a previous interview with GMA News Online, Charlie said that joining beauty pageants is something she's considering.

"Well, honestly, right now, it is definitely in one of my cards," Charlie said.

But since she's focusing on her academics and showbiz career right now, the teen star said that she hopes to give it a shot someday with "enough support, love, and time."

"Because, I know it takes a lot of time to become a Miss Universe or to join a certain pageant and it takes a lot of effort and work. So, maybe when I'm done with my school and I have enough of everything, then I'll probably consider joining," she added.

Charlie finished her "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" stint as the Third Big Placer along with her Kapamilya duo Esnyr.

She is set to appear in the upcoming Kapuso series "Master Cutter" alongside Dingdong Dantes and fellow housemate Shuvee Etrata.

Charlie is also part of the upcoming horror movie, "Huwag Kang Titingin," with a cast led by Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay—Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
