Olivia Yace of Côte d'Ivoire resigns as Miss Universe Africa & Oceania

Olivia Yace of Côte d'Ivoire has resigned as the Miss Universe Africa & Oceania.

The Miss Côte d’Ivoire Committee made the announcement through a statement released on Monday.

"COMICI officially informs the Miss Universe organization of the withdrawal of the Ivorian candidate from all titles and mandates issued by this organization," the statement read. "Olivia Yace therefore relinquishes her title of Miss Universe Africa & Oceania, effective immediately."

"Miss Olivia Yace, Miss Universe Africa & Oceania 2025, will formally return her Africa & Oceania sash to the organization to ensure that no one is unaware of this and to attest to this joint decision."

Olivia, who finished fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, was named one of the continental queens along with Julia Ann Cluett of Malta for Europe & Middle East, Zhaona Zena of China for Asia, and Stephany Abasali of Venezuela for the Americas.

Fátima Bosch of Mexico won the Miss Universe 2025 crown, while Philippine bet Ahtisa Manalo finished third runner-up.

Earlier on Monday, Miss Universe Organization President Raul Rocha issued several statements on social media addressing allegations of rigged results for the recently concluded pageant.

Lebanese-French musician Omar Harfouch, a Miss Universe judge who resigned two days before the coronation event, called Fatima a "fake Miss Universe."

Raul, however, said that "no judge resigned" and that the three hours on stage "do not reflect all the qualities" that a Miss Universe queen must posses.
