Christmas trees, displays brighten PH provinces with festive cheer
The holiday season is shining bright with beautiful Christmas trees and decorations illuminating several provinces in the Philippines.
As seen in Sandra Aguinaldo's report in "24 Oras" on Monday, the province of Tarlac, which is known as the Belen Capital of the Philippines, shined brightly with the 18th Belenismo celebration, featuring 28 colorful belens on display.
In Ilocos Sur, a 17-meter Christmas tree was lit in front of the provincial capitol, accompanied by the launch of a festive Christmas Village.
The town of Pinili in Ilocos Norte also opened their own Christmas Village made up of recycled materials.
Meanwhile, Plaza Mabini in Tanauan, Batangas sparkled with the opening of its Tunnel of Lights and a giant Christmas tree. In addition to the festive decorations, the plaza also has theme park rides that visitors of all ages can enjoy.
The town of Casiguran in Sorsogon also showcased its own giant Christmas tree and lanterns, while the town of Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay opened its Christmas carnival, featuring a giant tree, a colorful dancing fountain, and various rides. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
