Emma Tiglao, CJ Opiaza weigh in on Miss Universe 2025 results
Emma Tiglao and CJ Opiaza have shared their thoughts about the Miss Universe 2025 results.
The Miss Grand International 2025 and Miss Grand International 2024 queens guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Wednesday where they were directly asked whether they belive the results were rigged.
"Siguro, Tito, I will answer that, that I respect na lang po the organization of the pageant, ganun na lang po siguro," said Emma, who was crowned Miss Grand International 2025 in October, succeeding CJ.
CJ, for her part, shared that the results of Miss Universe 2025 should be respected and the winner, celebrated.
"The same goes with the decision of the judges, since that was the result that was announced so we have to respect that. That was the person who they think shined during that day and we have to celebrate one's winning," she shared.
Philippine bet Ahtisa Manalo, who finished third runner-up at Miss Universe 2025, also weighed in on the rigging allegations during her guesting on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" in the previous week.
Per Ahtisa, she would not believe these allegations unless they were confirmed.
“So for me, I always make sure that I don’t judge based on what I hear, especially if there is no evidence to it,” she added. “If I’m presented facts, then I might change my opinion, but with no facts, it is what it is," she had said.
This year's Miss Universe pageant had its fair share of controversies, with pre-coronation walkouts, a winning queen's resignation, disappointment over the winner, and allegations of rigging.
Mexico's Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe 2025.
