'Sang’gre'-inspired installations and more shine at UST Paskuhan 2025
Despite the rain, the University of Santo Tomas pushed through with its annual Paskuhan celebration, filling the campus with music, lights, and holiday cheer.
According to Jamie Santos’ report on “24 Oras,” Friday, students gathered to watch performances by campus groups and OPM artists, as colorful Christmas decorations lit up various parts of the university.
This year’s celebration carried the theme “Light Among Us, Hope Through Us,” which was reflected in the visual displays across the campus.
Some of the installations drew inspiration from “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” as well as other modern streaming content, symbolizing resilience and imagination—stories that mirror the strength, perseverance, and hope young people seek amid present-day challenges.
For many Thomasians, Paskuhan remains more than just a Christmas tradition. One student described it as a “rest day” from academic pressures, while another said the event gives them a chance to de-stress and enjoy time with friends.
