Paskuhan 2025 in GenSan showcases lanterns inspired by iconic world landmarks, attractions
The Christmas season in General Santos City is merrier than ever!
As reported by Efren Mamac on “24 Oras” on Monday, the city’s Paskuhan 2025 showcased Christmas lanterns created by the city's 26 barangays.
These dazzling lanterns were inspired by iconic world landmarks and attractions, including the Buddha of Myanmar; Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; a replica of Russia’s St. Basil’s Cathedral; and Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa, among others.
The display also featured a unique lantern inspired by the tuna fish, an abundant marine resource in General Santos City, which is widely known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines.
Aside from Paskuhan 2025, the city also takes pride in its tuna dishes, including tuna skin chicharon, which was sampled by the P-pop group Cloud7.
