GMA Kapuso Foundation wraps up 2025 with health, relief programs nationwide


The GMA Kapuso Foundation extended help and healing to thousands of Filipinos nationwide through its life-changing projects in 2025. 

According to the 2025 Kapusong Totoo Year-Ender, which aired on "24 Oras" Friday, the GMA Kapuso Foundation reached individuals battling various health conditions, such as tumors, cataracts, cancer, malnutrition, and more. 

Under the foundation's Operation Bukol Project, a total of 22 beneficiaries underwent surgery for tumors in partnership with the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. 

During Sight-Saving Month in August 2025, a total of 98 beneficiaries also underwent cataract surgery. A child with congenital cataract received free surgical treatment through the foundation's collaboration with the Tzu Chi Medical Foundation. Moreover, 135 beneficiaries received free prescription glasses. 

Meanwhile, under the Ngiting Kapuso Project, a total of 115 beneficiaries received free dental care through the foundation's partnership with the Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry. 

A total of 972 mothers also received free pap smears and breast examinations on Women's Month in March and Mother's Day in May. 

A total of 200 fathers likewise received prostate-specific antigen tests during Father's Day in June. 

Meanwhile, 300 undernourished children in Gainza, Camarines Sur, received proper nutrition under the foundation's Give-a-Gift, Feed-a-Child feeding program. ,

In 2025, a total of 4,918 blood bags were collected under the foundation's Sagip-Dugtong Buhay blood donation drive, which directly helped in the treatment of 15 children with cancer. 

Ahead of Christmas Eve, the GMA Kapuso Foundation also distributed Noche Buena packages and toys to families and children affected by the earthquakes in Cebu and Davao.
