20 years of 'High School Musical': Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, more stars look back on making the film
It's been 20 years since "High School Musical" was released and inspired a generation of Wildcats worldwide.
In celebration of the movie's 20th anniversary and its enduring relevance to today's pop culture, some of its stars have taken to social media to reflect on the iconic movie.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanesa Hudgens, who played Gabriella Montez, said that she "was just a baby" when she began working for what would end up a massive franchise.
"I cannot believe HSM turns 20 today," she said. "Thank you to everyone who's been there since day 1."
"We'll always be in this together," she added, referencing one of the show's iconic songs, "We're All In This Together."
Ashley Tisdale
Ashley Tisdale brought to life Sharpay Evans, a sassy "High School Musical" character that Bretman Rock admitted he adores.
On Instagram, Ashley looked back on the show by sharing throwback photos with the rest of the cast.
"I'm so grateful for what this movie has given me, and for the fans who made it what it is," she said.
"To be part of something this iconic, that still has new fans discovering it today, is truly wild," she added.
Ashley also expressed her deep admiration for her Sharpay character.
"And let me just stay… we're still looking fabulous," she said.
In a separate post, Ashley went down memory lane, wearing some of her iconic outfits from the show, including the blue dress she wore for the "Bop to the Top" performance.
"20 years and two babies later, I'm still squeezing into these looks," she said.

Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans) and Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie) attended an official Disney "High School Musical" anniversary event, where they interacted with fans through trivia from the show.
On Instagram, Disney shared a reel with highlights from the event, including a showcase of the show's props and merchandise.
"High School Musical" was released in 2006 and spawned two sequels and spin-offs.
