Yllana Marie Aduana explains decision to skip Miss Universe Philippines 2026
Yllana Marie Aduana is not competing in Miss Universe Philippines 2026.
In a letter on Instagram, the beauty queen said she thought about joining in the past few months, "and praying really hard to God that He guides me in the process."
Yllana added that throughout her four years in pageantry, she "never stepped into any game half-hearted."
"It was always a firm decision and mindset of 'I want it so I'll do it' then give it my all and nothing less," she said.
"This year, I realized that my heart wanted to pursue other big and substantial things, but this time, outside of pageantry."
Yllana said that she still craves being onstage and performing front of people, but "I guess, the heart wants what it wants."
Yllana then said she appreciates her supporters throughout everything. She also teased that this year "will also be a very big one for me."
"I am really excited to make it just as impactful as I do all things that make my heart genuinely happy and that will expand my career too! I hope you guys still support me regardless!" Yllana said.
She is also excited to cheer on this year's Miss Universe Philippines delegates. "[May] the best Queen win!"
Yllana was previously crowned Miss Earth Air 2023. She was also named second runner-up in Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
