Hidilyn Diaz marks 35th birthday: 'Still cheerful, still dreaming, still creating'
Hidilyn Diaz just turned 35 years old!
On social media, Friday, the Olympic champion shared a clip of herself celebrating her 35th birthday.
In the video, someone places a tiara on Hidilyn, while another puts sunglasses on her. A birthday candle is playfully placed in her mouth and lit.
Hidilyn then sets the candle on a floral cake adorned with a giant “35” topper before blowing out the candle to the tune of Michael Bublé’s “Feeling Good.”
“Hello, 35.. still cheerful, still dreaming, still creating,” she wrote in the caption.
“Thank you for making my 35th so special with your love and messages,” she added.
Hidilyn was the first Filipino to win an Olympic gold medal after securing the women's 55-kg weightlifting event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In January 2025, Diaz was inducted into the Philippine Sportswriters Association's Hall of Fame.
She currently teaches two PE 2 sections in weightlifting this second semester of AY 2025-2026 under the College of Human Kinetics (CHK) of the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Happy birthday to our coolest girl, Hidilyn!
