Victory Church pastor asks public to give Alvin Aragon grace after controversial statements

Victory Church pastor asks public to give Alvin Aragon grace after controversial statements

A pastor from Victory, the church attended by Alvin Aragon, asked the public to give some grace to the former actor for his recent statements that drew online backlash.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the King of Talk said the show reached out to Victory Church Pasay Pastor Nixon Ng about the issues surrounding Alvin.

He read some passages from the statement sent to them by Ng.

According to Ng, Alvin's beliefs about the LGBT+ community and and the role of father and husband in the family is not different from the belief of other Christians.

"But [Ng] believes that Christians should share their conviction with compassion. Conviction and compassion must always come together," Tito Boy said.

"Naniniwala din siya that the public should be gracious towards Alvin. He noted that most Christians, especially in the early stages of their faith, could be overly passionate and excited about sharing their beliefs. But eventually daw they grow as Christians," he added.

Alvin is the husband of former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona. The couple has been under the public eye since Izzy reunited with the girl group in the fourth show of their Get Get Aw! concert.

Izzy was not part of the reunion concerts, but she came to watch the show and joined the rest of the girls on stage for a photo opportunity.

In response to some claims that he influenced his wife to leave SexBomb and skip the reunion concert, Alvin said God made Izzy resign from the group and she obeyed.

Alvin also made a statement about Sofia Trazona, Izzy's trans child with former partner Michael Navarro.

"God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality. Mamuhay ka, and you don't want to believe in Jesus? I assure you that God will throw you to hell if you don't stop, repent, and believe in the gospel."
