GMA Network wins big at St. Dominic College of Asia Stardom Awards 2026
GMA Network emerged as one of the biggest winners at the Saint Dominic College of Asia Stardom Awards 2026, taking home several major honors for excellence in media, journalism, and public service.
According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, GMA Network's top honors were the Innovation Media Award and the Grand Impact Award.
Several anchors from the network’s flagship newscast “24 Oras” were also recognized during the ceremony.
Veteran broadcaster Mel Tiangco received the Outstanding News Anchor in Research Communication award, while fellow anchor Vicky Morales received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Media - Research and Public Service.

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim Atienza and Martin Javier received the Excellence in Science and Research Journalism award.
GMA Integrated News also bagged the Best Use of Digital Platforms for Knowledge and Dissemination award, while Kapuso journalist Oscar Oida was honored as Outstanding Field Reporter for Community Impact.
Moreover, GMA Public Affairs received the Outstanding Television Network for Research and Public Education award.
Veteran Kapuso journalists Jessica Soho and Kara David also received the Excellence Award in Media and Research Communication.
“Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" was likewise named Best Public Affairs and Social Impact Program, whereas “I-Witness” won both Best Documentary Program and Best Investigative Journalism Program.
Other award-winning shows included “The Atom Araullo Specials,” named Best Research-Based Television Program, as well as “Born to Be Wild,” which received the Best Educational TV Program award.
Previously, GMA Network bagged several awards at the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards 2026 of the Trinity University of Asia.
