Best moments from the BTS comeback concert in Seoul
BTS made a monumental return on Saturday evening, reuniting with fans through a global live performance streamed on Netflix from Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square to celebrate their new album “Arirang.”
Dressed in edgy black ensembles, the group delivered a set packed with both fresh tracks and fan favorites, despite RM limiting his on-stage participation after sustaining an ankle injury during rehearsals.
Here are some of the standout moments from the night:
1. BTS introduces their new sound
The concert opened with a powerful showcase of BTS’ evolving artistry, as they performed new tracks “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “2.0.”
Bathed in red stage lights and dressed in all-black ensembles, the group leaned into a sharp, grungy aesthetic. The rap line — RM, Suga, and J-Hope — took center stage, highlighting a more hard-hitting sound.
Suga summed it up best, describing the era as a “mature and evolved BTS.”

2. BTS greets ARMYs after four years
Emotions filled the air as BTS addressed fans in person for the first time in years.
Jin recalled their last concert in Busan and thanked fans for waiting, while Jimin shared how moved he was to see all seven members together on stage again.
“I still vividly remember asking you to wait for us at our last concert in Busan a few years ago. Thank you so much for coming here. Thank you so much. I had so many worries before standing here today but seeing you all again, I’m so happy. Thank you, Army!” Jin said.
Jimin thanked fans for filling Gwanghwamun Square.
“I am so happy and really, really grateful,” he said.
Suga emphasized the significance of performing at historic Gwanghwamun, tying it to the album’s Arirang theme.
“It’s truly an honor to perform at Gwanghwamun, the most historic place in Korea. We wanted this album to capture our identity. That’s why we chose Arirang as our theme, and with that in mind, we decided to perform here. Thank you,” he said.
V acknowledged both the on-site audience and global viewers watching via Netflix, saying that "we waited for this moment so long."
“Wherever you are, I hope our hearts reach each and every one of you today,” he said.
J-Hope expressed disbelief at their long-awaited reunion.
“I can’t believe the seven of us are standing on this stage today. Wow, we know it’s been a long wait. Thank you for waiting for us,” he said.
Jungkook teased special performances ahead, and RM, addressing the massive crowd, reflected on the journey that led them back to the stage.
“Seriously, look at this. Everybody. So many of you! To everyone here and everyone watching on Netflix around the world, thank you for joining us tonight. It’s been a journey, but now we are finally here,” RM said.
3. BTS gets fans jumping with top faves
The energy surged as BTS performed “Butter,” their 2021 English-language mega-hit.
This was followed by classic “Mic Drop.” The group opted for the original version of the latter instead of the popular Steve Aoiki remix, with RM delivering his original Korean verses.

4. A mood shift mid-set
After high-energy numbers, the concert transitioned into a softer, more introspective segment.
Following performances of newer tracks like “Aliens” and “FYA,” the atmosphere mellowed as BTS delivered slower songs from the latter half of "Arirang," including “Swim,” “Like Animals,” and “Normal.”
This section allowed the vocal line, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and Jin, to shine, showcasing their range and emotional delivery.

5. BTS debuts new choreography
Fans were treated to fresh choreography, particularly for lead single “Swim.”
The track, released Friday alongside its music video starring “Riverdale” actress Lili Reinhart, features a nautical concept with the group in sailor suits aboard a ship.
Additional choreographed performances for “Hooligan” and “2.0” further highlighted the group’s unchanging dynamic stage presence.

6. ‘Dynamite’ is still the queen
BTS brought back “Dynamite,” their 2020 global hit that propelled them to new heights during the pandemic and earned them their first Grammy nomination.
Years later, the track remains a crowd favorite, igniting the audience once again.
7. BTS is still the same
Beyond the performances, it was the group’s chemistry that stood out.
Members danced around RM to accommodate his injury during songs like “Butter” and “Dynamite,” while also playfully teasing V for briefly sitting on RM’s chair. ARMYs hearts melted when V and Jimin held hands during "Mikrokosmos."
These small, unscripted moments reflected the group’s enduring closeness.

The night closed on an emotional note with “Mikrokosmos,” long considered a comfort song among fans.
After a brief fake-out before the encore, BTS returned to a sea of lights as ARMYs filled the venue with glowing flashlights.
Singing together, the artists and audience shared a final moment before BTS took their bow, thanked fans, and reminded everyone to get home safely, bringing the long-awaited comeback concert to a heartfelt end.
