E-jeep driver gives P100 to student after she leaves wallet at home

An e-jeepney driver has touched many hearts online after showing a simple yet powerful act of kindness to a student.

In a Facebook post, May Albert Flores shared her daughter Alliyah’s heartfelt experience with the driver, who gave her P100 after she accidentally left her wallet at home while on her way to school in Monumento.

The 22-year-old student realized she didn’t have her wallet and decided to get off the vehicle. But, the driver refused to let her leave, and instead handed her P100 to cover her fare and help her get to school safely.

[Alliah was going to pay for her fare when she realized she left her wallet at home. The driver asked why she wanted to get off the jeep. She admitted she had no fare because she left her wallet.]

[The driver told her not to get off anymore and immediately handed her P100 to cover her fare all the way to school.]

According to May, she didn’t expect there are still “good samaritans” out there. She also asked for help online to reach the driver to thank him personally.

"Of course sobrang na-touch kasi 'di expect na kung sino pa 'yung taong kumakayod para mabuhay sila pa 'yung may mabuting puso," she said.

Alliah wasn’t able to meet the e-jeep driver after their encounter but she was able to give back the P100 through his conductor.  She hopes to meet the e-jeep driver soon.

Hoping to meet you again soon kuya driver, Thank you po!," she added.

The heartwarming encounter tugged the heartstrings of netizens online who can’t help but praise the e-jeep driver.

"Kindness still exist[s]," a netizen wrote.
