Daxen, KMJS-featured boy who had with skin disease, finishes Grade 10

Remember Daxen, the boy whose story was featured on "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" due to his severe skin condition? He has reached a new milestone after successfully completing Grade 10!

On Instagram, "KMJS" shared photos from his moving-up ceremony, showing Daxen wearing his completer sash and holding his certificate.

The post marked how far the boy from Antique has come since he received help for his condition, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a severe reaction of the body to certain drugs.

Daxen was first featured on the program in 2022.

"KMJS" viewers helped raise support for his treatment, which also allowed him to reunite with his mother, Daylyn, who was working as a domestic helper in Singapore.

In 2023, Daxen greatly recovered from his condition.

"Mabuti na po," Daxen said. "Makakatulog na ako. Noon kasi po nung may sakit ako, hindi na po ako makatulong sa lolo at lola ko. Noon kasi naawa din po ako sa kanila."
