78-year-old woman graduates from senior high school

A 78-year-old woman from Lal-lo, Cagayan proved age is just a number as she graduated from senior high school!

According to a report by Arnold Clavio on “Unang Hirit" Monday, Genoveva Andaya was among the graduates of the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood-Home Economics (TVL) strand at Magapit National High School on March 31.

Poverty prevented her from finishing her studies when she was younger, Andaya said.

Determined to fulfill her dream, she took the opportunity to return to school through the Alternative Learning System (ALS), where she worked hard to complete her secondary education.

Andaya also said she wanted to prove that age is not a hindrance to achieving one’s dream of finishing school.
