Gabbi Carballo reflects on Miss Eco International 2026 journey, thanks supporters in heartfelt post
Gabbi Carballo looked back on her Miss Eco International 2026 journey with gratitude, sharing a heartfelt three-part message dedicated to the people who supported her along the way.
On Instagram, the Cebuana beauty queen reflected on the honor and challenge of carrying the country’s name on the international stage.
“Representing a country going through so much socioeconomically and politically brought me back to the question asked at Miss Universe Philippines 2026: ‘Many Filipinos are getting frustrated with the country. For you, why is it still worth it to represent the Philippines on the global stage?’” Gabbi wrote.
Despite the challenges, Gabbi said the experience gave her a sense of pride and fulfillment.
“And it was a challenge — but it left me saying: ‘I did that.’ What an honor it is to actively choose to represent the contrary — the uplifted Filipino. The proud Filipino. The hopeful one. The joyful one.”
Gabbi went on to thank the people behind her pageant journey, including her Empire and The Miss Philippines family, mentors, fellow queens, makeup artists, stylists, family, friends, God, and many more.
“I can never really say that I know what the future holds, but I can tell you that I am so grateful for the doors that pageantry has opened for me,” she continued in another Instagram post.
“To those who have been encouraging, thank you for placing love above all. And to those who have not, I can’t wait until you see the true beauty of life in uplifting those who push despite all odds, and try in the midst of resistance. Thank you to my motherland, the Philippines, for this honor."
Gabbi Carballo finished in the Top 21 of Miss Eco International 2026. Palmira Ruiz of Mexico won the crown.
Meanwhile, shortly after the coronation night, Miss Eco International revoked the franchise of Miss Eco Vietnam after alleging that the Vietnam National Director made documented bribery attempts to secure a Top 10 placement for their contestant.
Miss Eco Vietnam denied these claims, instead accusing the pageant of organizational failures and unfair, sudden changes to voting mechanics during the grand finals.
Consequently, the Vietnamese organization has terminated all cooperation with the pageant and returned the Miss Eco Asia title
