'Gokusen' now streaming on Netflix

"Gokusen" is now on Netflix!

The iconic J-Drama series from 2003 has found its way to the platform, with all 13 episodes now available to stream.

"Gokusen" follows a high school teacher named Kumiko "Yankumi" Yamaguchi, whose grandfather is a member of the yakuza, the Japanese mafia. Her lifelong dream is to become a teacher, while her family members want her to be the next boss.

Yankumi hides her identity and teaches delinquents at an all-boys private school. She teaches them not just academic subjects, but also life lessons.

It stars Yukie Nakama, Jun Matsumoto, and Shun Oguri.
