Gazini Ganados says she was challenged, humbled during MGI All Stars stint, but was more confident

Fresh from Bangkok, Thailand, Gazini Ganados reflected on her Miss Grand All Stars stint where she finished in the Top 5.

On Wednesday's "Unang Hirit," the beauty queen and Sparkle star said she was challenged and humbled during the course of the pageant.

"When I competed in my first international pageant, it was seven years ago. Ngayon sumasakit na 'yung likod ko," she said. "Nag-crack-crack na siya. You really know your age na talaga if you experience all this."

Humor aside, Gazini said that this is her second time around and she was already competing with veterans.

"They have already proven their strength in international pageants, those are winners already," she said, adding that she was against "the greats of the greats, queens of the queens."

Still, Gazini said that she was also more experienced and confident this time.

"Nakapag-international fashion shows na rin ako," she said.

"I know myself better this time, my angles, my lights, my boundaries," she added. "Ang dami kong natutunan sa sarili ko."

She reiterated that it was a "redemption" era for her, "kasi di ko narampa 'yung swimsuit ko before, 'yung long gown ko before."

To recall, Gazini competed in Miss Universe in 2019 and finished in the Top 20.

Gazini thanked her fans for supporting her in her MGI All Stars journey.

"I really appreciate the love and support. I know it was so unexpected, the opportunity, but we took it with grace and gratitude."

At the first-ever MGI All Stars coronation night on May 30, Gazini strutted in a sultry pasarela and then a golden gown by Filipino designer Rian Fernandez. —JCB, GMA News
