Valerie West steps down as Miss Global Philippines 2026 amid compliance review

Valerie West has stepped down from her position as Miss Global Philippines 2026 following an internal review conducted by ALV Pageant Circle.

In a statement released on Thursday, ALV Pageant Circle said it had reviewed “compliance matters relating to contractual and organizational obligations” involving Valerie and her local director.

According to the organization, Valerie and her local director were informed of concerns that required “appropriate organizational action.”

ALV further stated that Valerie was notified of an adjustment to her status as a crowned queen.

Instead of continuing under the revised arrangement, the beauty queen “chose to voluntarily tender her resignation.”

“ALV Pageant Circle respects Ms. West’s decision and extends its best wishes to her in her future endeavors,” the organization said.

The pageant body added that it would continue to proceed in accordance with its rules, policies, and contractual agreements while coordinating with all concerned parties.

ALV did not disclose specific details regarding the compliance issues cited in its statement.

The organization also announced that a new official representative for Miss Global Philippines 2026 will be named on June 20 during the Coronation Gala.

“This statement is issued solely for purposes of clarification and should not be construed as a personal attack against any individual, including Ms. West or her local director,” ALV said, adding that it would refrain from making further public comments on the matter.

Valerie competed in Miss World Philippines 2026 in February and received the Miss Global Philippines title.
