Ivy Reyes Padilla of Misamis Oriental withdraws from Binibining Pilipinas 2026
Ivy Reyes Padilla, who was set to represent Misamis Oriental Province in Binibining Pilipinas 2026, has withdrawn from the pageant.
The Binibining Pilipinas Organization announced Ivy's withdrawal from the competition in a statement on Monday via social media.
"She has expressed that she can no longer continue due to personal reasons. We fully respect her decision and stand in support of her during this time," they said.
The organization also asked the public to extend understanding and compassion as Ivy "navigates this time in her life."
"On behalf of the entire Binibining Pilipinas Organization and the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 candidates, we wish Ivy strength, peace, and fulfillment. She will always have our support and a place she can call home."
Following Ivy's withdrawal, 35 candidates are now vying for the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 crown.
The pageant is set to hold its national costume competition on July 2 at the New Frontier Theater.
Meanwhile, the coronation night is scheduled to take place on July 18 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Last year, Katrina Anne Johnson of Davao Province was named Binibining Pilipinas International 2025, while Annabelle Mae McDonnell of Iligan City was hailed as the Binibining Pilipinas Globe.
