Who is Gwendoline Meliz Soriano? Get to know our Binibining Pilipinas International 2026
Gwendoline Meliz Soriano of Baguio City is our Binibining Pilipinas International 2026!
After competing against 34 other candidates, Gwendoline emerged victorious and succeeded Binibining Pilipinas International 2025 Katrina Anne Johnson.
Aside from winning the coveted crown, she also swept several special awards, taking home Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Binibining Philippine Airlines, and Binibining Urban Smiles.
Before winning her Binibining Pilipinas title, Gwendoline represented Baguio City at Miss Universe Philippines 2025, where she finished in the Top 12.
Here are more facts about our new queen.
1. She is a model
Beyond the pageant stage, Gwendoline is also a runway model. She most recently walked at Hair Asia in May, wearing a wedding gown by Roy Padilla Endozo with hair and makeup by Carlo Bilog.
2. She is a communications graduate
The 27-year-old beauty queen graduated from Trinity University of Asia with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. She is currently pursuing a second degree in real estate.
In addition to her studies, she has a background in marketing and social media management.
3. She loves to dance
Gwendoline also has a passion for dancing. During her college years, she performed various dance genres, except hip-hop. A few years later, she signed up for a hip-hop dance class, describing the experience as a chance to step out of her comfort zone.
4. She starred in a fast-food commercial miniseries
In 2020, Gwendoline starred in the "Kwentong Jollibee" Valentine's Day series episode "Space," which has garnered more than 10 million views on YouTube as of writing.
5. Becoming a beauty queen is her dream
When she joined Miss Universe Philippines 2025, Gwendoline shared on Instagram that becoming a beauty queen had always been her ultimate dream.
In a heartfelt letter dedicated to her late father, she revealed that joining a pageant took immense courage and expressed hope that she had made him proud.
Gwendoline is set to represent the Philippines in the Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan next year. —MGP, GMA News
