SB19 debuts 'Lawless' in historic Lollapalooza performance

SB19 officially made history as the first Filipino act to perform at the Lollapalooza!

The P-pop kings took the Allianz Stage in Chicago before an energetic crowd that screamed, cheered, and chanted all throughout their set that lasted nearly an hour.

The group opened with "DAM" for a hard-hitting banger that electrified the crowd, then followed it up with "GENTO" that featured a new dance break.

After introducing themselves to the audience, SB19 delivered a live debut of their freshly released song, "Lawless," a smooth track with addicting low guitar riffs and a catchy beat. "Emoji" went next as the group flexed their skills in juggling strong vocals with hard choreography.

In the following portion, SB19 showcased their harmonies and the Filipino throat chakra with "MAPA" and "Wakas." They also treated the audience to a sneak peek at "Mga Kababayan," the Francis Magalona song that they recorded for the sound track of Dreamworks film "Forgotten Island."

To end their set, SB19 once again turned to their high octane tracks. They played "VISA," "Dungka," and "Crimzone" back to back to back, bringing a party atmosphere that electrified the festival grounds.

In "Dungka," they brought out Benny the Bull, the mascot of the Chicago Bulls, who danced with them on stage at the climax of the performance.

Meanwhile, Stell went topless in "Crimzone" as they closed their set with their signature earth-shaking banger, complete with yet another new dance break arrangement.

As they left the stage, they thanked the fans who watched them and said "see you next year." Earlier in the performance, Josh also said it was their first time in Lollapalooza, but it would not be the last.

In an interview on Disney+ after the performance, they were asked what's next for SB19. Josh simply said: "world domination."

SB19 still has thanksgiving fan meets in the United States before heading to Japan in August for Summer Sonic. They will return to America in October for the KPOPWORLD Festival in Texas. —MGP, GMA News
