Reina Filipinas-MGI All Stars queens: Who is Anne Patricia Diaz?
Anne Patricia Diaz is one of the two queens crowned Reina Filipinas-MGI All Stars during the inaugural Reina Filipinas pageant on Friday night.
The pageant brought together 21 candidates at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, with Anne standing out for her experience in both local and international pageants.
Here are five things to know about Anne:
1. She is a transgender woman
Anne made history in the competition as the only transgender woman among the Reina Filipinas candidates.
During the question-and-answer portion, she was asked: “There are undeniably so many pageants already. What space do you hope Reina Filipinas would occupy?”
Anne highlighted the importance of inclusivity and equality in her response.
“Pageantry isn't about exclusivity. It’s about inclusivity, diversity, and equality. As the only transgender woman, and by allowing me to compete here, I can say Reina Filipinas truly embodies equality,” she said.
“We, transgender women here in the Philippines, deserve an equal platform. And if I'll be given a chance to put a spot for Reina Filipinas, I'll definitely put there in the #1 spot."
2. She won It's Showtime's Ms. Q&A in 2022
Before joining Reina Filipinas, Anne had already made her mark in pageants and LGBTQIA+ competitions.
In 2022, she was named the Ms. Q&A Kween of the Multibeks Grand Winner on “It's Showtime.”
3. She was Miss Equality World 1st runner-up
In 2023, Anne represented the Philippines at Miss Equality World, where she finished as 1st runner-up.
She also received several special awards during the competition, including Best Public Speaking, Best Social Media, and Best Photogenic.
4. She represented the Philippines at Miss International Queen
Anne won the Miss International Queen Philippines 2025 title, earning the opportunity to represent the country at the international competition.
She went on to finish among the Top 6 finalists at Miss International Queen 2025.
5. She is a fur mom
Outside of pageantry, Anne is a fur mom to two huskies named Hera and Iris.
She has shared photos of her two dogs on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse of her life with her beloved pets. —JCB, GMA News
