The pageant community is mourning the death of Miss Earth Indonesia 2025 Putri Andriani Juficha, who passed away at the age of 25.

According to People, Putri’s death was announced on what would have been her 26th birthday on Friday, August 14. Her cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.

Who was Putri Andriani Juficha?

1. She was Joy Barcoma’s Miss Earth batchmate

Putri, affectionately known as Pijey, represented Indonesia at the Miss Earth 2025 pageant, competing alongside Philippine representative Joy Barcoma and other delegates from around the world.

In an Instagram Story on Friday, Joy paid tribute to Pijey by sharing the Miss Earth Organization’s memorial post and writing, “Your memory is a blessing, PJ.”

Before becoming Miss Earth Indonesia 2025, Putri competed in Miss Grand Indonesia 2025, where she finished as the second runner-up to winner Vina Sitorus.

2. She was a communications graduate

Putri was also a graduate of the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business in Jakarta.

She earned her degree in communications in 2022. According to her Instagram bio, she had also pursued law studies.

3. She was a singer

Beyond pageantry, Putri also explored her passion for music.

In 2024, she released the single “Mati Saja” under her stage name, Pijey, adding music to her list of creative pursuits.

Putri was also passionate about environmental advocacy.

In a social media post in 2025, the Miss Earth Organization described her as an advocate committed to promoting waste recycling, protecting rivers from pollution, and safeguarding communities and the planet.
