Lotlot De Leon approves of Janine Gutierrez's relationship with Jericho Rosales: 'I love him very much'

Lotlot De Leon has nothing but love for Jericho Rosales, the boyfriend of her daughter Janine Gutierrez.

During her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, Lotlot was asked if she approves of Jericho as Janine’s partner.

“Oh, I love him! I love him, yes, very much. He’s such a wonderful man. He’s such a kind person,” she said in a mix of Filipino and English.

Lotlot recalled that she first met Jericho while they were working together on a teleserye thatJanine was also a part of.

“I think we had dinner. I don’t really remember much, but I worked with him on the teleserye. Janine was also in the teleserye, and Echo was there for ‘Lavender Fields.’”

Per Lotlot, she and Jericho also spent time together in Atok, Benguet, during the series.

“And then Echo and I were together in Atok, Benguet. Of course, I never thought that he would eventually become part of my daughter’s family and ours," she shared. “But, you know, he’s been nothing but wonderful to us."

When asked if Jericho personally told her that he and Janine were already together, Lotlot said she did not expect her daughter to ask for permission.

“You know, Tito Boy, my daughter is of age. Janine doesn’t really need to ask for my permission anymore,” the actress said.

“Whatever decision my daughter makes, I’d like to think that I raised my daughter with a good heart. Hopefully, she makes the best decisions for herself. And I trust her. I trust her."

Tito Boy then asked if she was ready for the day Janine and Jericho would tell her that they were getting married.

“Oh, I’m ready. I’ve been ready for that for a long time,” Lotlot said.

Jericho admitted that he and Janine were exclusively dating in April 2025.

He was formerly married to Kim Jones. The couple separated in 2024.
