5 awesome things that made Rich’s HK wedding unconventional and cool
Kapuso actor Rich Asuncion tied the knot with rugby player Ben Mudie in Hong Kong on May 28. At the onset, you could tell it was as unconventional fairytale — an intimate party, a yacht reception, a quick signing of papers.
On Star Bites Monday, the couple gave a few more details about their unique wedding that confirmed our initial thoughts: this wedding really is cool. See our favorite details below:

1. Their wedding rings in the form of tattoos. Instead of having rings around their fingers, the newlyweds had their names tattoed; ‘Benjamin’ on hers and ‘Richelle’ on his. According to the Star Bites report, Rich plans to wear the ring that Ben bought her on special occasions.
2. Her off-the-rack wedding dress. Rich spotted her beautiful off-shoulder wedding dress in Australia. She only gave herself a budget of P10,000, so can you imagine how awesome it was when she discovered the dress was only actually P5000?! “Nakita ko siya, maganda naman, desente naman, sakto naman sakin, so sabi ko, ito na talaga ang dress para sa akin,” she said.
3. It’s as intimate as intimate can be. Instead of a big wedding, the couple kept their wedding party small – as in barely 50 people small.
4. Their reception is a yacht party. Rich and Ben decided to do away with an utterly embellished venue, all the flowers, and a program and just went ahead with a cool yacht party. How cool is that?

5. They’re holding off on the honeymoon. Unlike most newlyweds, jetting off to their honeymoon right after the wedding, Rich and Ben decided to hold off on the honeymoon and just stay in the Philippines for now. “Busy siya sa work,” Rich said before Ben butted in: “Somewhere local lang because we’ve been spent a lot of time abroad this year so far .” — LA, GMA News
