Heart plans to stay in the PHL for Christmas and witness her sister give birth

Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista revealed her plans for the coming Christmas during a pocket press conference last Thursday.

"Sa bahay lang, manganganak kasi 'yong sister ko. So actually manganganak siya on the day na manganganak dapat ako, so very special," Heart said.

Heart said she wanted to make sure that she's present when her sister Camille Ongpauco gives birth to her niece. She said it holds a special meaning since it's also the day when she was supposed to give birth.

"So I have to  make sure na I'm there para in a way, para na rin akong nanganak. I wanna be there for her, so Christmas dito lang talaga kami, New Year dito lang kami," she said.

She said her sister is due next week and it makes her emotional imagining how it would feel like to hold her sister's daughter.

"Naiyak na nga ako, it's like I'm giving birth. The feeling, I can imagine na the feeling when I first hold her baby, it's just so I'm really gonna stay here and I'm gonna spend time with them. How wonderful naman 'no?" 

Heart's Christmas feast at home

Heart revealed that her husband Senator Chiz Escudero is the person in charge of the food. Her focus is on the setup and decorations.

"Kaming dalawa ni Chiz, very hands on kami. Si Chiz more sa luto nang madami, ako luto din and more of the setup and display ganyan," Heart said.

She then revealed meals that her family will be having for Christmas.

"Bukod sa corned beef," Heart joked, "siyempre nandiyan ang cheese, charot. Twice cooked lechon 'yong binabad sa patis tapos pi-prituhin mo." 

She said it was her father's recipe, which Chiz has already learned.

"Recipe 'yon ng daddy ko, pero si Chiz marunong na."

Apart from the twice-cooked lechon, the family will feast on paella, mangga tsaka bagoong. "'Yon lang 'yong mga favorites ko and of course puto bumbong." — LA/ GMA News
