‘Everything was a blur but you’: Lucy Torres recalls first meal with Richard Gomez

Lucy Torres-Gomez's Valentine's Day message to her husband of nearly 21 years is a loving throwback to the first meal they shared together.

According to the actress-politician's post on Instagram on Thursday, the first meal she shared with Richard Gomez was the lunch during the shooting of a TV commercial they did in 1993.

According to Lucy's account, Richard urged her to eat her vegetables after noticing that she had ignored the carrots on her plate.

"I ate every last bit, not really tasting them, just getting them down. I needed to do that anyway because, frankly, I couldn’t breathe," she wrote.

"I’ve loved you since I was 12, after all, and finally you were beside me. Real. Asking me to eat my vegetables."

Lucy, 18 at the time, would marry Richard five years later. The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last year.
