Mikael Daez says his relationship with Megan Young evolved: From partying to bonding over video games
Mikael Daez and Megan Young have been together for more than eight years, and according to Mikael, their relationship has certainly evolved.
On Instagram, Mikael posted a video of the two of them enjoying the company of each other, playing a video game as they ate kebabs.
In the caption Mikael said he is "amused at the evolution of our date nights."
"Over the past 8 and a half years, we have grown individually and as a couple! Our interests and hobbies have evolved as well," Mikael said.
He noted that in their first two years together when they had to keep their relationship a secret, they would mostly go on parties and work events separately.
"Year 1 and 2 consisted mostly of parties!!! *tugstugstugs* We went out a lot as we introduced each other to our various friends. We would also attend a lot of work events (but never arriving together because— secretly dating nga diba)."
He continued saying eventually they discovered their "greatest loves as a couple which was coffee."
"We would go to Craft in Esteban Abada or Coffee Empire in West Avenue and we downed ungodly amounts of coffee. Espressos, pour overs, cortados— we drank everything! Also, it didn’t matter if it was 9am or 11pm, our coffee dates were a permanent fixture in our lives. Sleeping was obviously not a priority in this era of our relationship haha!"
There was also a time in their relationship when they would go on midnight food trips around Metro Manila.
"Falafels in Beni’s, halo halo in The Pen, Tapsilog in Recovery Food, breakfast steak burrito in Army Navy and cheeseburgers in Sweet Ecstasy. Off the top of my head, those were our regular choices but we had a lot more eating spots!"
Now, Mikael and Megan's relationship have evolved with a new hobby, "Our gaming lives are in full swing as Boneezy’s FB streaming page is growing!"
They said their dates have become playing their own games, eating, and exchanging game strategies with one another.
"We have also found a new game called DOTA: Auto Chess and our date nights consist of sitting next to each other, having amazing Mr Kabab food in front of us and quietly playing our own games. The silence is only broken when a kebab needs to be chomped on or we want to share strategies with one another. A lot of our dates now are centered around games ???? bonus nalang yung food hehehe," he said. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
