Dawn Zulueta says being there for your children while they are young is the key to a happy family

Dawn Zulueta, a mother of two, revealed that the secret to a happy family is to simply be there for your children, to spend time with them especially since they'll only be young for such a short period of time.

"I think it's important that you really make the time to be with your family as often as you can," Dawn began during the media conference of "Family History."

"I always say nga with the children, they're only children like the first, like 1/10 of their lives and then young adults for the first 20% of their lives if they live to be centenarians."

"It's only a short period as a parent. Sayang naman if you miss out. Kailangan nandoon tayo nakatutok creating those memories for them kasi 'yun yung dadalhin nila when they're older," she added.

Dawn narrated how fortunate she was to have happy memories of her childhood to look back at and it was those memories that kept her strong through the tough times.

The actress said, "So as parents 'yun din 'yung kailangan na iwan sa mga anak natin, 'yung pangpatatag sa kanila."
