Superdad wows the internet with gowns he created for his daughter

Behind every beautiful dress is the sweat and blood of its creator.

In Toni Masil's case, it's her father's hard work that brought her dress into existence.

In a now viral Twitter post, the 18-year-old proudly showed off a blue dress that her father Gregorio made for her.

The post received an influx of support from netizens, who were amazed and touched.

"I'm just proud and I want everyone to see," Toni said.

But this isn't the first nor only dress that her dad made for her or her sisters.

Toni told GMA News Online that Gregorio's interest in sewing started five years ago. He started creating curtains and bedsheets for their home, before moving on to creating dresses for her sister's college activities.

When Toni was in 10th grade and had nothing to wear for prom, her father stepped up and created a gown for her — the first gown he'd ever create.

"I was in 10th grade, it was prom season when he made his first gown. I had nothing to wear, I never saw a gown I liked so I asked him if he can make me one," she said.

And not only did Toni win prom queen that night, she also felt like real royalty!

"I really felt like a queen that night thanks to my daddy," she said.

Toni said her father currently works at a public high school in Angeles and dreams of opening up a shop one day.

She hopes that after she graduates from college, Gregorio will be able to make it into a reality.

But for now, he dedicates his creative talent to making gowns for his daughters.

"He does these gowns and dresses po simply because he wants us to be happy and confident especially with what we wear. And kasi he loves us and can't say no to our requests," Toni said.
