Gladys Reyes on love: Better to have 'first and last'

For Gladys Reyes, having a "first and last" love like she did with husband Christopher Roxas is still the ideal romance.

Speaking at the press conference of the upcoming GMA-7 series "Madrasta" on Tuesday, Gladys expressed hope that her kids would have a love like hers and Christopher's when the time comes.

"Hindi po sa nagsasalita ako ng tapos na ayoko mag-end up ang anak ko na may madrasta pero mas maganda iba kasi siyempre yung naging experience ko 'di ba, kami ni Christopher talagang first and last gano'n iba eh," Gladys said when she was asked by the press if she would approve of her child having a "madrasta" as a girlfriend.

Gladys said if her 13-year-old eldest son Christoph were to have a girlfriend she said she has to know who the girl is and vice versa

"Tinatanong nga ako paano kapag may girlfriend eh 13 lang siya, sabi ko kailangan makilala ko siya at makilala niya ako so let's see pero hindi naman po lalo na iba na panahon ngayon," she said.

Gladys and Christopher renewed their vows in January 2018 on their 25th anniversary. The two started dating as teenagers in 1993 on the set of their TV drama series Mara Clara.
