Sunshine Cruz gets emotional over old photo of her with her girls: 'Ang layo ng narating namin'

Sunshine Cruz got a bit emotional over an old photo of her with her girls, Angeline, Chesca and Sam.

In an Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of them taken 13 years ago, and a recent photo of them all grown up.

But it's not nostalgia that drives Sunshine to tears whenever she looks back at her past, but rather gratefulness for her "second chance at life."

A bit emotional now.???? First photo was taken 13 years ago, I was 29 years old here. Haggardo!???? At mas malaki pa ang braso ng mga anak ko sa braso ko. Everytime I see photos of myself from the past, napapangiti at nagiging emotional ako. Even my children became more confident and I can say they are also tough girls! They are just like their mom, marunong lumaban kung kinakailangan at marunong magpasalamat sa biyaya, maliit man o malaki. Family and friends, it is never too late to have a second chance in life. Kung nagawa ko, kaya nyo din. It is never too late to make things right and to be better versions of ourselves. Samahan nyo ng maraming dasal dahil hindi talaga natutulog ang Diyos ??????????• Swipe ?? for our latest photo ????

She noted that in the photo, she was so haggard and thin that her daughters' arms were thicker than hers.

"Everytime I see photos of myself from the past, napapangiti at nagiging emotional ako. Sobra-sobra ang pasasalamat ko sa Panginoon dahil ang layo na pala talaga ng narating namin ng mga anak ko," she wrote in her caption.

"Nabigyan ako ng pangalawang pagkakataon na mabuhay ng mas maayos, mas masaya at naging mas matatag ako," she added.

She said that even her girls grew up to be tough.

"They are just like their mom, marunong lumaban kung kinakailangan at marunong magpasalamat sa biyaya, maliit man o malaki," she said.

She also has a message for her friends and family: "It's never too late to have a second chance at life."

"Kung nagawa ko, kaya nyo din. It is never too late to make things right and to be better versions of ourselves," she said.

In September 2018, Sunshine's petition for the annulment of her marriage to Cesar Montano was granted by the court.

She filed the petition for annulment in May 2014. She and Cesar were married for over 15 years.
