Bride with cancer passes away during her wedding

A cancer-stricken woman passed away during her wedding ceremony, according to a news report on 24 Oras Weekend.

Marjorie Calizar and Victor Banayo had already been together for eight years when they decided to get married. Marjorie had also already been battling cancer for a long time.

She was taken to the church in Tiaong, Quezon in an ambulance, and went down the aisle on a hospital bed. 

According to the report, she passed away sometime during the event, but the priest proceeded with the ceremony.

After the wedding, instead of a reception, the grieving groom and family proceeded to a funeral home.

Despite the sad event, Victor expressed gratitude that he and Marjorie were able to fulfill their goal of reaching the altar to express their eternal love for each other. — BM, GMA News
